Frequently asked questions.

When is cherry season?

Cherry season is very dependent on weather. Typically it can start anywhere from the beginning of June to the middle of June. The past few years the cherries have matured later than usual and we opened around the middle of June. Sour (pie) cherries are usually ready the third week in June.

How long is cherry season?

Typically it lasts somewhere between 7 days and 2 weeks. This is variable, depending on the year, the size of the crop, and the weather. Cherry season used to last several weeks. Now, due to increased crowds and replanting the orchard, the season sometimes is over in a little over a week. In 2020, customers picked 11,000 pounds of cherries in 4 days.

When is Apricot season?

Apricots usually are ready around the third week in June.

When is Apple season?

Apple season starts in mid-August and goes through the month of October.

Do You Ship?

No, we do not. Shipping requires that cherries be sent overnight, or next day air, in order to be received in good condition, and it is prohibitively expensive.

Are you organic?

No, we are not an organic orchard.

Can I bring my dog(s)?

Yes so long as they are good boys/girls, remain on a leash, and you, the owner pick up and dispose of their poop. We allow this because we are dog lovers and know how great it is to take fur friends on adventures. Please abide by the rules and be respectful of others so we can continue to allow dogs.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, or card.

Will you pick for us? Do you have already picked fruit available?

We will have already picked cherries and apples for sale during their respective seasons. The price is the same whether you pick or we pick.

I don’t like ladders, can I pick from the ground?

Early in the season, fruit is easily accessible on the ground. As the season progresses the use of a ladder becomes necessary.

We have children, can they pick?

Yes, we focus on offering a family experience where lasting memories are made and traditions developed. We try to be as family-friendly as possible, and this is an activity that children love. It is a good way to teach them about where their food comes from. We ask that you please do not let your children climb the trees. This can cause serious damage to the tree and presents the risk of injury to your child.

Can I bring my own ladder?

No, ladders are provided. Our ladders are designed for orchard use and are stable. Household ladders are very unstable in our rocky soil and may cause you to have an accident.

How can I contact you to ask more questions?
